We are looking for a Category Demand Planner, who would like to be part of our international team.
The Category Demand Planner plays a strategic, cross-functional role at the heart of customer service excellence. Acting as the key link between sales and supply chain, this role drives the creation and coordination of accurate demand plans across the organization. Responsibilities include forecasting demand across multiple time horizons, leveraging market and sales insights to optimize accuracy, and ensuring timely, full-service delivery. The planner also identifies and resolves issues proactively, continuously refining plans to adapt to changing conditions.
Duties and responsabilities
This cross-functional role involves close collaboration with Sales, PDM, Customer Service, Category Supply and Demand Planners, and external partners. It ensures market needs are translated into accurate demand plans aligned with category guidance.
Core Responsibilities
- Lead demand forecasting across 18 months, integrating market insights, historical data, and promotional activities.
- Drive the IBP/S&OP process, contribute to Local Demand Review meetings, and balance mid-term supply and demand.
- Manage new product introductions and phase-outs, ensuring alignment with commercial strategies.
- Continuously improve forecast accuracy, resolve demand issues, and support risk mitigation.
- Align forecasts with business plans and identify corrective actions for deviations.
- Collaborate with Sales to refine short- and mid-term forecasts, highlight outliers, and close gaps.
- Optimize capacity allocation in constrained scenarios and identify growth opportunities.
Processes & Systems
- Maintain and enhance forecasting tools (Maestro, CAT), cleanse historical data, and ensure master data quality.
- Validate sales inputs, update statistical forecasts, and monitor KPIs at category/SKU/customer level.
- Coordinate weekly with Category Supply Planning and communicate key insights to stakeholders.
- Support CSL analysis and ensure accurate market portfolio planning.
You are the right fit if you have
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Economics, or related field
- 2+ years in demand planning or forecasting
- Strong cross-functional understanding (SC planning, sales, product, marketing)
- Strategic mindset with data-driven insight generation
- Effective communicator up to GM level
- Skilled in negotiation, analysis, and cross-functional teamwork
- Results-oriented, customer-focused, agile planner
- Fluent in English; proficient in Navision, SAP, Excel, Kinaxis Maestro, Power BI
