We are looking for a OT / Industrial Infrastructure Engineer, who would like to be part of our international team.

Duties and responsibilities

The OT Infrastructure Expert will support the design, implementation, and management of our operational technology infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the integrity, security, and optimal performance of our OT systems, including MES, SCADA and DCS and their interfaces to company IT systems.

  • Collaborate with the automation and control manager and local teams during designing, implementing, and maintaining OT infrastructure, including SCADA, PLCs, DCS, and other industrial control systems.
  • Collaborate with local automation experts and production technology suppliers to create an automated data collection for MES system modules.
  • Assist in developing and executing strategies for integrating automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Collaborate with the IT cyber security expert to ensure the security and integrity of OT systems, including developing and implementing cybersecurity measures.
  • Conduct regular system audits, vulnerability assessments, and risk management activities under the guidance of the Automation and Control Project Manager.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for OT systems, including network diagrams, configuration files, and standard operating procedures.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to the operations team for OT infrastructure issues, working closely with the local automation experts and process engineers.
  • Work with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration between OT and IT systems, supporting the Automation and Control Project Manager in cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in OT and industrial cybersecurity, and share relevant insights with the team.
  • Assist in developing and delivering training programs for staff on OT systems and cybersecurity practices.
  • Participate in the execution of OT-related projects, ensuring alignment with the objectives and timely completion.
  • Participate and oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connections related to OT systems.
  • Cooperate to create and maintain incident response plans specific to OT infrastructure. Establish procedures for detecting, reporting, and responding to OT infrastructure incidents, with an emphasis on minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Ensure that the organization complies with relevant industry standards, regulations, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Execute a patch management strategy to keep OT systems up-to-date while minimizing disruptions to critical operations. Maintain an accurate inventory of OT assets and their configurations.

You are the right fit, if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in OT infrastructure management, with a focus on MES, SCADA and DCS.
  • Involvement in designing and implementing OT architectures, including IDS, network segmentation, access control mechanisms, etc…
  • Specific OT equipment, solutions, and vendors experience
  • Teamwork experience
  • Experience working with external resources and consultants and in a multinational team
  • Familiarity with OT equipment, solutions, and vendors relevant to the manufacturing sector and with communication protocols commonly used in OT
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations and the ability to ensure compliance within OT systems
  • Capability to adapt to evolving technologies in the OT landscape
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, OT, engineering, and management stakeholders and convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent verbal and written English
