Group Project Delivery Management Expert
We are looking for a Group Project Delivery Management Expert, who would like to be part of our international team.
Main purpose of the position
The Group Project Delivery Management Expert is the group authority for project delivery execution standards within commercialization and implementation. The role ensures consistent use of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices across markets and group projects, enabling predictable, on‑time, first‑time‑right delivery.
The Commercialization process is the structured end‑to‑end approach starting once a tender is won, translating a customer agreement into first on‑time delivery. It coordinates product development (where needed), packaging and artwork, master data creation, and project management through standardized roles, decision points, and KPIs, aiming to minimize lead time, reduce rework, and ensure first‑time‑right production and delivery. The group team focuses on all activities within Product Management and Project Delivery Management.
The position serves as the content expert for project delivery management, owning governance, continuous improvement, and capability development for Project Delivery Managers. It supports market and group initiatives with execution frameworks, resource insights, and hands‑on expertise for complex or critical projects. For cross‑market projects, it manages overall coordination and leadership with markets and other departments (e.g., re‑allocation or swing of SKUs).
Duties and responsabilities
1. Project Delivery Standards & Governance
- Own and continuously improve group project delivery standards, templates, and methodologies.
- Ensure consistent application of opportunity-to-commercialization execution standards across markets.
- Support decision gate readiness and milestone quality from a project execution perspective.
- Ensure execution of post-project reviews and capture lessons learned plus gather key outtakes and define next actions based on this.
- Act as subject matter expert for project delivery best practices
2. Project Management Tools & Reporting
- Govern, maintain, and continuously improve the project management tool (Smartsheet).
- Define data standards, structures, and reporting logic for project execution.
- Ensure high data quality, transparency, and consistency across all projects.
- Develop and maintain dashboards for timeline, scope, risks, dependencies, and resource utilization.
- Act as first-level escalation point for project tool or execution methodology issues.
3. Group & Market Product Execution Support
- Lead and coordinate group-level projects (e.g. SWING, reallocation initiatives).
- Provide coaching and guidance for complex, cross-market, or high-risk projects.
- Support markets in structuring project plans, risk mitigation, and recovery actions.
- Ensure alignment between market execution and group governance requirements.
4. Resource & Capacity Insights
- Support resource planning through project execution data and workload insights.
- In case of temporary resource shortage, prepare scenario on support between markets and align this with the General Managers.
- Provide input into prioritization discussions based on execution complexity and capacity constraints.
- Identify execution bottlenecks and capacity risks across the project portfolio.
- Support scenario modelling for group initiatives and peak load situations.
- Support markets in new local function hiring.
- Support markets in onboarding of new hires, training via a standard framework on required process, systems and capabilities.
5. Capability Building & Community Development
- Define project delivery competency frameworks together with the group PDM/PM team.
- Develop and deliver training programs for Project Delivery Managers in markets.
- Coach and mentor project managers on execution excellence and problem solving.
- Build and maintain a community of practice for Project Delivery Managers across the group.
- Support change management and adoption of new standards and tools.
6. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Track and analyze project execution KPI’s (on-time delivery, milestone adherence, first-time-right).
- Identify systemic execution issues and improvement opportunities.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery maturity.
- Actively contribute to group CI initiatives together with the Group Product Manager Expert.
You are the right fit if you have
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
- 5+ years project management experience in complex, cross-functional environments
- Strong expertise in project delivery methodologies and tools
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools (Smartsheet preferred)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven experience in training, coaching, and capability building
- Ability to influence without direct authority
