Group Product Management Expert
We are looking for a Group Product Management Expert, who would like to be part of our international team.
The Group Product Management Expert is the group authority for product-related commercialization governance, with a strong focus on artwork, packaging and recipe and packaging supplier-related transitions.
The Commercialization process is the structured, end‑to‑end process that starts once a tender is won and translates a customer agreement into first-on-time customer delivery. It focuses on coordinating product development (where needed), packaging and artwork, master data creation, and project management through standardized roles, decision points, and KPIs, with the aim of minimizing lead time, reducing rework, and ensuring readiness first time right production and delivery. The group team focus stretches to all activities which are part of the Product Management and Project Delivery Management scope.
The position acts as the content expert for product management acting as product owner, owning the governance, continuous improvement, and capability development of Product Managers across the organization. Ensuring alignment between Product Management, Quality, Supply Chain, and other PPF departments. This role supports both market-driven and group initiatives by providing their expertise in translating the demand between customer and PPF in both directions. For specific projects on Product Management related topics, which stretch across markets, they will manage the overall coordination and leadership towards the markets and other departments.
Duties and responsabilities
1. Product Management Process Governance
- Own and continuously improve product-related commercialization processes and standards.
- Ensure alignment of product management activities with the end-to-end opportunity to commercialization framework.
- Define standard deliverables, timelines, and quality requirements for product-related milestones.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and internal governance standards.
- Support post-implementation reviews from a product and quality perspective.
2. Artwork & Product Data Tools
- Govern, maintain, and continuously improve the artwork review and approval tool (CWAY).
- Define data standards, workflows, and approval structures within CWAY.
- Ensure high data quality, transparency, and audit readiness of product-related data.
- Act as escalation point for tool issues or workflow deviations.
- Drive continuous improvement of product data and artwork processes.
- First point of contact from PPF towards CWAY.
3. Group & Market Product Execution Support
- Coordinate group packaging supplier transition projects together with the group Project Delivery Management Expert.
- Support markets in executing product changes, artwork updates, and supplier transitions.
- Ensure alignment between product management, quality, procurement, and manufacturing.
- Provide expert guidance on complex or high-risk product implementations.
- Act as product expert towards feasibility and development needs linked to SWING and reallocation projects
4. Capability Building & Change Management
- Define product management competency frameworks together with the Business Process Manager Commercialization.
- Develop and deliver onboarding and training programs for market product manager functions.
- Coach and mentor market teams on packaging, product governance, quality, and compliance.
- Drive adoption of standards, tools, and best practices through structured change management.
5. Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track KPI’s related to product execution excellence (first-time-right artwork, approval cycle time, compliance).
- Analyze trends and recurring issues in product-related project execution.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives across product management processes.
- Actively contribute to group CI initiatives together with the Group Project Delivery Management Expert.
6. Packaging Sustainability & Compliance Excellence
- Central expert for markets to consult in translating customer requirements towards strengthening environmental, regulatory, and future-proof packaging strategy.
- Support markets in translating the customer requirements and sustainability strategy into packaging requirements and standards.
- Provide guidance on compliance with regional and global packaging legislation (e.g., EPPR, recyclability, SUP, label claims).
- Support markets and plants with sustainability declarations, documentation, and audits.
- Govern packaging sustainability metrics (recycled content, recyclability, CO₂ footprint).
You are the right fit if you have
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
- 5+ years’ experience in product management, commercialization, or related functions
- Strong understanding of packaging, recipe, artwork, quality, and supplier transition processes
- Experience with product data and artwork management tools (CWAY preferred)
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing capabilities
